Goalzee — Terms of Service

1. Overview

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your use of the Goalzee mobile application (the "App") and the accompanying website. By checking the box during sign‑up you enter into a service agreement with Goalzee S.C., registered at ul. Wiosny Ludów 34, 81-459 Gdynia, NIP: 5862423362, REGON: 542985810 (the "Provider").

The Terms are provided free of charge in the App (see Profile → Legal) and on the website in a format that allows storage and reproduction.

2. Definitions

  • Account – a user profile created with email or with Google/Apple sign‑in.
  • Goal – a planned action (types: Open, Trackable, Step) with optional badge, cycle (Daily/Weekly/Monthly/Yearly/Lifetime) and due date.
  • User Content – any information you enter into the App, including goal names, descriptions, steps, progress and history.
  • Plans – subscription tiers: Focus (free), Achiever (monthly), Champion (annual).
  • In‑App Purchases – billing processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play under their respective terms.
  • Notifications – push messages in three categories: Goal Reminders, Progress Summary, Tips & Insights.
  • Level / XP system – a gamification feature in the App where the User earns experience points (XP) for goal-related activity (e.g., adding progress, completing steps, maintaining streaks). Accumulated XP determines the User’s level. The system has no legal or financial effects and may be adjusted by the Provider (e.g., thresholds, number of levels).

3. Account, sign‑in and security

  • To create an Account you provide email, password and first name/nickname; or use Google/Apple sign‑in.
  • You must provide accurate information and safeguard your credentials. Do not share your password.
  • Available controls include: password reset (email link), profile edit (avatar, first/last name, date of birth, time zone), log‑out and account deletion.
  • The Provider may suspend or limit your Account if you breach the Terms or applicable law.
  • The App is intended for users aged 16 and above; under‑age users require legal guardian consent.

4. Notifications and communication

  • Upon sign‑in the App may request system permission to send push notifications. You can grant, withdraw or configure consent in your device settings and under Profile → Notifications.
  • Categories: Goal Reminders, Progress Summary, Tips & Insights.
  • Service communications (e.g., on Terms changes, outages, security) may be sent to your Account email – these are not marketing messages.

5. Plans, subscriptions and payments

The App offers various packages and subscriptions, including a free tier and paid plans (e.g., monthly, annual). Feature access, limits and analytics availability may vary by plan.

  • The most up‑to‑date plan details and pricing are always displayed inside the App and on the product pages in the Apple App Store and Google Play.
  • Payments and subscriptions are processed by the respective store; applicable terms: Apple Billing, Google Play Billing.
  • Subscriptions auto‑renew until cancelled in your store account settings, in line with store policies.
  • Offerings and prices may change; material changes are announced in advance per the store’s rules. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
  • Refunds and billing complaints are primarily handled by the relevant store (Apple/Google). The Provider will reasonably assist you.
  • If purchases outside the stores are offered in the future, EU consumer rules (including a 14‑day withdrawal right) may apply, subject to exceptions for digital services started with express consent.

6. App features

  • Dashboard: today’s actions, stats (completed goals, streak, 30‑day totals, trends), motivational texts and tips.
  • Goals: grouped list (daily/weekly/monthly/lifetime) with sorting and filtering; goal details (badge, type, progress, history, edit, complete, restart, delete).
  • New Goal: create via AI assistant, step‑by‑step wizard, single‑page form, import from other user or templates; set cycle, units (trackable), steps, due date, description and reminders (days/time).
  • Stats: extended statistics – total goals, steps, streak, trophies, badges earned; time range (default 7 days, adjustable).
  • Level & XP system: The App may award experience points (XP) for goal-related actions (creating goals, adding progress, completing steps, staying active over time). Based on accumulated XP, the User is assigned a level and may receive temporary XP multipliers. This system is purely motivational and informational, does not provide cash or monetary rewards, and its parameters (e.g., XP thresholds, number of levels) may be updated by the Provider from time to time.

7. License and intellectual property

  • All rights in the App (code, UI, layout, graphics, logo, databases) are owned by the Provider or its licensors.
  • The Provider grants you a non‑exclusive, non‑transferable license to use the App on devices you own or control, solely for its intended purpose.
  • You retain rights to your User Content while granting the Provider a non‑exclusive, worldwide license to store, process, display and use it to provide and improve the App.

8. AI features, guidance and disclaimers

  • AI features (goal generation, suggestions, tips) are informational and motivational only. They do not constitute medical, legal, financial or other professional advice.
  • You are responsible for evaluating and applying any suggestions.

9. Acceptable Use

You must not:

  • post unlawful or infringing content, or content violating personal rights;
  • circumvent security, reverse‑engineer, scrape or overload infrastructure;
  • spam, create mass accounts or automate actions without permission;
  • use the App for illegal purposes.

10. Availability, warranties and liability

  • The App is provided "as is". While reasonable care is taken, uninterrupted, error‑free operation or full compatibility cannot be guaranteed.
  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Provider is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or lost profits. This does not limit liability that cannot be excluded (e.g., for personal injury).
  • For consumers, mandatory consumer protection laws prevail over conflicting Terms.

11. Termination and account deletion

  • You may delete your Account at any time in Profile. Deletion results in loss of access to User Content stored in the App, unless the law requires otherwise.
  • The Provider may terminate the agreement with immediate effect if you materially or repeatedly breach the Terms.

13. Changes to the Terms

  • The Provider may modify these Terms for valid reasons (e.g., legal changes, new features, security improvements).
  • Material changes will be announced in advance (email/in‑app notice). Continued use after the effective date means acceptance.

14. Support and complaints

  • Technical issues and service quality: support@goalzee.com
  • Billing complaints for in‑app purchases should be directed to the relevant store (Apple/Google). Other complaints may be submitted via email; we will respond within 14 days.
  • EU consumers may use the ODR platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland. Courts competent for the Provider’s registered seat will have jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer law protections.
